Prabir Sikder (? - ) was a Bangladeshi journalist who was ambushed on May 11, 2001.

Ambush Edit

On May 11, 2001 Prabir was in the town Faridpur, Bangladesh. While there he was hit by a bomb. After the bomb Prabir was viciously attacked by islamists he was shot and stabbed numerous times. After the attack the assailants left him to die. However Sikder was quickly discovered and rushed to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition. Prabir's condition deteriated to the point where doctors thought he would not survive however he proved them wrong and began to recover. Though he was recovering he needed to have one of his legs amputated.
